for *Saimain's contest, featuring her character faeren and the forest of illusions. i really don't have anything creative to say about this, all my imagination was used up in the making of it... took a couple of weeks, the longest i've ever worked on a single piece.
since the deadline's not till the 30th sept, i'm still open to any constructive criticism
-------------------
EDIT
fixed the colour up a little bit- hopefully now faeren doesn't stand out as much.. also added the shadows from the leaves on his arm.
Oh wow, this turned out stunning! Gorgeous colors, and I love the detail on Faeren. That is some incredible lighting work. The moss and leaves are skillfully painted, not to mention the butterflies! So delicate and pretty, and the blue highlights...I love the blue highlights. They add a hint of magic to everything while enhancing the realism. The work you put into this certainly shines now! You've created a beautiful and enchanting masterpiece. ^__^
Thank you so much for sharing your vision and participating in the contest. I wish you the very best of luck!

but if i had to give my two cents on it i would have to say the light source that shines on the humanoid is a little bit strange.
I would say working on trying to make that a bit more defined would help make the fore ground and background more cohesive, because right now they kinda clash.
yeah i noticed that myself... i've tried fixing it, but to no avail, i just made him look terribly over saturated and horrible D: so i've left him like that...
and thankyou

This is possibly the greatest creation of yours, Lena, it is so beautiful. The moss and the mossy flowers on his skin is breathtaking. All the detail is amazing!
